News Update
It was twenty years ago today that we signed the papers to make Four Horsemen Toy Design an official business and we are so happy and thankful for everything that has come since.
From our first couple of years together working on the Harry Potter, Hot Wheels and Max Steel projects for the guys over at Mattel and then moving on with them to do MANY other different iterations of the Masters of the Universe and DC Universe characters, vehicles and playsets, to the various different “side projects” we did – and continue to do – for other companies like Toy Biz, NECA, Hasbro, Sideshow, Blizzard Entertainment, Warner Brothers Studio Stores, Icon Heroes, Lanard, LootCrate, Dark Horse, Playmates, Tri-Force, Toy Island, Fun Publications, Tweeterhead, and others – even including a cool project for the band Twiztid, and the chances we had to revisit two of our favorite properties from the past and acquire our first two licenses for Power Lords and The Outer Space Men, to the many current cool projects we’re working together on with Super7, we couldn’t be more grateful for the work we were blessed with from all of those companies, more proud of the work we’ve created with them, more delighted by all of the properties we’ve had a small hand in bringing to life over the past two decades, or more happy with all of the friendships we’ve made with people over the years because of all of those projects.
Best of all, we’ve had the chance to bring some of our very own creations and ideas to fruition in action figure form, and – we’ve said it MANY times – there’s nothing more rewarding to an artist than to have someone else show appreciation for the work you’ve done. MagmaCorps, Seventh Kingdom, Gothitropolis and now Mythic Legions have all been labors of love and even the mere thought that people have the same kind of love for these properties that we have is truly humbling and awe inspiring.
To all of the MASSIVELY creative people we’ve had the fantastic opportunity to work with, whether you were offering a knowledgable overseeing eye for the projects we were involved with or whether you were lending your incredible artistic talent to help us make the projects we created as cool as they could possibly be, thank you!
But more than anyone else… to ALL of our fellow geeks out there who have literally helped keep this company running and growing, THANK YOU from the bottoms of our slimy, black hearts. We really do love and appreciate every single one of you, and we love meeting you when we’re out and about.
We’re going to be doing a few fun things through out 2019-2020 in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Four Horsemen Studios, and the first is the reveal of the fella you see in the pics here. The paints aren’t 100% where we want them to be just yet (as beautiful as the are – thanks, Sherri!!), and the tail for this guy printed out slightly smaller than we would have liked, but keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming announcement about when you can pre-order this guy (along with some other celebrational goodies), official final pics of him, and a special contest where YOU can help us choose his name! Oh, and yes… his head will be swappable with our horses and vice-versa.
